It is argued that, in school, students do not have to take similar tests. I disagree with this statement because of test anxiety, high-stakes testing, and equity issues.
Turning to the details, numerous students are not like standard exams because after the test, they have a test anxiety and, by definition, refers to the neevousness or anxiety that can impair test performance, often cited as a significant drawback of high-stekes testing. For example, if someone want to take SAT, they will be depression or excitement while it will be continues in test time. Moreover, we know every standard exams have a some drawbacks, such as not enough paper and places and if there is a role of technology, sometimes, it will have technological issues.
Furthermore, equity issues are dissatisfaction since standard tests may not be fair to all students and particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds or wit special educational needs.Another reason for this, we know some people are introverted, and some of them are extroverted. As a result, they will have some problems with the test. In other words, someone is introverted, and he wants to be DUOLINGO as the same time if he/she has a problem with speaking, he/she will take bad result from the speaking. Another example is that every where have special children who are not to study with money and therefore standard tests are not equal for those. For instance, in Africa, a lot of children have no money for education, and they can not take tests.
In conclusion, standardized exams are not comfortable for everybody, and a lot of children do not like this because of anxiety and some feelings. In addition, it is not equal for everybody, especially poor and special introverted people.
