Some individuals contend that the government should be responsible for cultural conservation activities like music, theater, or art. While some argue that the amount spent on that is a waste of money. From my point of view, both these viewpoints are valid, but I prefer the latter.
Admittedly, investing money in cultural activities has some reasons. Firstly, it can help economic growth. This is because tourist attractions, local cuisines in the blockbuster films would usually become attractive destinations for the whole of global visitors. As a result, tourism could be promoted, leading to millions of people in this field having better opportunities. Secondly, supporting cultural activities through music, theater or art boost awareness of cultural identities. This can be explained by the fact that unlike culture-related programs that make individuals feel bored, cultural activities are incorporated into the entertainment industry, which is one of the most favorite sources, regarded as an effective way.
However, I advocate that it is crucial to invest budget spending for other issues. One of these is in this day and age, people have to face pressing issues, including: climate change, pandemic, and pollution. It is such problems that pose immediate risks for people and even cause death. This would result in the authority to take the steps to prevent them. Furthermore, the primary revenue of the states is taxes that the amount of money inhabitants pays for the government. As a result, it is reasonable to enhance well-being’s individuals. For instance, the state should find solutions like construction of the infrastructure, public housing, especially important for those living in remote areas, and slums.
In conclusion, although people advocate that the state should invest budget in music, art to preserve cultural activities for economic growth, and enhance awareness of important cultural identities, I believe that it is a waste of money due to having many pressing issues, and boosting well-being of the citizens
