Band 8+: Some individuals who make a lot of money are more successful while others believe that individuals who contribute to society like teachers and scientist are more successful.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

A few people who earn a plentiful income are victorious; others, however, assert that many who contribute to the community, such as coaches and research scholars, are successful.

On one hand, many associate high value with obtaining money because money provides comfort, security, and opportunities. Individuals who earn substantial incomes—such as entrepreneurs, celebrities, or top executives—are often celebrated and admired. Their wealth can symbolize hard work, intelligence, and ambition. In a capitalist society, monetary success is frequently viewed as a measurable indicator of achievement, enabling people to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle, support their families, and influence others through their money. It is revealed in the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) that people who acquire money well gain high status in their communities. They influence others with their impact.

However, equating success solely with wealth overlooks the importance of societal contribution. Instructors, scientists, healthcare workers, and volunteers dedicate their lives to improving the well-being of others and advancing knowledge. Their work often goes unnoticed or underappreciated, yet it forms the backbone of a thriving society. Mentors shape future generations, inspiring curiosity and fostering critical thinking. Inventors develop innovations that solve pressing problems. Sir Isaac Newton was a good instructor and inventor who achieved high rank in society.

In conclusion, success can be viewed through multiple lenses. While financial attainment provides tangible benefits and symbolizes personal accomplishment, contributing to community service reflects a deeper, more altruistic form of success. Ideally, true success encompasses both personal fulfillment and positive societal impact.
