In contemporary society, many organizations hold the idea that appearance is vital for their industry. Others, however, believe that quality is more important than looks. Although appearance is necessary due to the seriousness that corporations want to indicate, I strongly prefer performance owing to the profit it provides for both the company and the worker.
Firstly, dressing plays a crucial role in terms of companies’ reputations. This is because attire shows respect, confidence, and professionalism towards customers. In addition, smart dressing gives a sensation of being at work, creating a serious environment which is essential for the company’s future. A great example of this would be civil services such as banks, internal affairs, and law, in which employees dress smartly so that everyone can see their authority.
On the other hand, it is often believed that quality has a far greater impact on a job. Ordinary attire can give more comfort to employees so that they will be more encouraged to work better. This, in particular, is necessary for office companies like IT, technology, and small businesses. Workers would feel more comfortable, and as a result, it would be much easier for them to focus on their job. Additionally, they wouldn’t think they are under pressure, which is beneficial not only for profit but also for a friendly environment between employees.
By way of conclusion, the look of workers creates confident cooperation; however, I partly agree that quality should be prioritized more. A balance between the two should be implemented so they can both maintain the corporation’s image and comfort.
