Some argument that children should be taken care by their family member, while others believe that daycare center is a better option to provide the best care. Although trust is the main reason why many working parents send their kids to their relatives, I believe qualified teachers from childcare center could provide the best care for children.
On the one hand, many people would like to leave their offsprings with grandparents or siblings because they trust them. It could be explained by the fact that family members are believed to cause no harm to the children and then parents feel safer with someone from within the family. This is illustrated in many Vietnamese families where most parents send their children to grandparents of other family member and they are afraid strangers in childcare center are lack of love and patience to care for their kids. However, I believe a family connection cannot guarantee to help children develop comprehensively.
On the other hand, many people believe that that children should be sent to preschools because the employees are skilled professtionals. Most of those emploed in these centers are trained in how to nurture children’s growth mentally and physically; therefore they are able to provied a suitable care for children at different ages placed under their supervision. For example, the majority of childcare centers in developed countried require their employees to have completed certificates in early childhood developments. For this réason, those childcare academics could ensure the holistic development for the children.
In conclusion, although some parent may prefer the trust when choosing the caregivers for their childre, I do think childre are better under the care of childcare center because their staff are qualified professionals trained to support for children.
