A certain number of parents assert that children under five years old should go to childcare centers, while others believe that family members such as grandparents will take better care of their kids. This essay will explore both perspectives before presenting my own view.
On the one hand, it’s undeniable that grandparents give much more attention and care to their grandchildren and they also tend to favor them. Likewise, they have many experiences in look after kids because they raised their child in the past. In addition, parents don’t need to pay for school tuition. However, if grandparent spoil their child too much, it can lead to the child developing bad behavior or becoming demanding, especially in the important stage.
On the other hand, however, many public schools have appropriate payments for most of parents and expensive tuition only come from private school. Furthermore, kids will have chances to interact with their peers, communicating with the same level of knowledge, resulting in develop basic skill and the fundamental for primary school. For example, in a research study conducted at BK university, it was found that most of kids are very slurred before they entered preschool, after months of talking face to face with their peers, their language improved tremendously. Moreover, children will learn some life skill such as being disciplined in going to school on time. Thereby, setting a foundation for entering elementary school.
In conclusion, letting grandparents raise kids may have some positive aspects. However, I am absolutely convinced that preschool is the optimal choice for a child to improve their social skills, it bring a huge benefits to children in terms of early development and readiness for formal education
