In today’s increasingly educational era, the majority of schools prioritize children’s educational performance, therefore they include heavy workload into the curriculum. Most people think that parental aid plays a crucial role on children’s well-being while others argue that children should do homework independently. Personally, I agree with the former statement, as parental guidance allows students to alleviate homework-related stress and maintain a strong relationship with their parents.
On the one hand, excessive reliance on parental involvement has a detrimental impact on children’s future career. To be more specific, doing homework without any support fosters a sense of independence and encourages students to push up their limits. Doing homework on their own contributes to enhancing their self-confidence and discipline which are considered primary qualifications for employment perspectives. Furthermore, in modern society, parents tend to focus on their professional life to achieve financial security to meet their children’s basic needs and ensure access to adequate educational opportunities, healthcare and other public services. Parental supports can deter parents from dedicating time to their career prospects.
On the other hand, involvements by family plays a pivotal role on relieving their stress and aggression derived from a heavy home task. In other words, some subjects can pave the way for increasing level of anxiety and confusion for students, in spite of the fact that parental aidance helps children to consume such complex theories more briefly. For example, students should allocate excessive time on math, physics and chemistry tasks which deprive them of socializing and has a detrimental impact on their emotional well-being, as a result, parents should help their children with homework. Another point worth noting is that parental guidance promotes strong emotional ties in the family. Parents should engage in interaction with their children to achieve lasting emotional fulfillment in the family.
In conclusion, although people may vary in their opinion, from my perspective, parents should involve in homework of their children to enhance their mental well-being and strength their bonds. I hope that parents maintain a balance between excessive dependance and personal guidance.
