There is no denying the fact that, nowadays, the issue of whether to choose a fulfilling profession or a high-paying one is more significant. Although having a satisfying job can be more important, some argue that a career which yields a handsome amount of money is crucial. I strongly agree with the former opinion. This essay will investigate both perspectives and reach a logical conclusion.
One reason behind the widespread notion that choosing an enjoyable career path is paramount is the reduced level of stress. To illustrate, a fulfilling, satiating profession can never cause stress-related problems because of the factor of pleasure. Pleasure-inducing jobs can help employees achieve high levels of performance. I am an example of this myself. I had to leave my previous profession in teaching due to the severe amount of pressure and currently, I am a stress-free, happy gardener.
On the contrary, some individuals argue that a high-paying profession is more important. This misconception originated from the negative concept that money can buy everything. In other words, having a plethora of financial liquidity can make you happy. Admittedly, it is evident that a sufficient sum of money can help mitigate problems such as daily substantial needs, education and health concerns. However, more earnings do not come by without consequences, which can result in detrimental and chronic medical conditions like depression along with anxiety.
To summarize, although having high-paying positions offers benefits such as improved living standards, access to education and healthcare, I strongly vouch for picking a more enjoyable job on because of the accompanying stress-related issues.
