It is thought by some people that historical sites which was built, if not hundred years, thousand years back in the day should be left untouched. While others think developing historic area could certainly boost the city development. Though keeping the historical cities as it is could preserve its longlasting, but there will also be some drawbacks.
One evident benefit is that historical cities are something that was built throug many centuries. Preserving the historical cities could surely boost the tourism as some tourists like to wander through historical places. Furethermore,it could be a solid evidence for younger generation to learn from. Another reason that historical cities could be advantageous is that it would keep the heritage alive. Each history is unique with its own ways of life so the beauty should be kept as it is.On the other hand, there are obvious downsided to restricting modern development. Firstly, every year the population is increasing, thus the demand of the housing and quality of live. The citizens will not be struggling and their quality of life will be increasing. Secondly, developing histrocial cities means it could adapt with the world modernization. As years go by, the historical sites infrastructure will get old as time goes by and there is potential that it will collaspe. So developing also prevent the risks of affecting the citizens.
In conclusion, while there are benefits of restricing modern developments within histrorical cities, too much will destroy those in the present. Developing the cities could improve smart city technologies and community development.
