Healthcare benefits is a fundamental right of all the nationals of a country. There’s an argument that it should be paid out of pocket by the individuals alone without relying upon the government while the others believe that it should rather be free. I predominantly agree on the latter one.
Free healthcare means more accessibility and inclusivity of the people of all economic status. This way everyone can afford it resulting in a healthier society and ultimately a healthier nation. For instance, we saw in countries like the USA , India , during covid Pandemic. Lower economic status groups could barely visit doctors for consultations as the health care was too expensive to afford. On the other hand, death tolls were significantly lower in countries like Germany and Switzerland where every individuals has equal rights to enjoy free healthcare.
Paying your own bills for your health may fasten the services rather than waiting for the insurance approval to visit a doctor.Furthermore, if an individual is rich , he can seek for more premium benefits than just the basic services that would be available for everybody by the government. For example, people in America where they pay for themselves gets all kinds of health services very quickly and efficiently saving lots of time.
Despite the arguments i mentioned in the last paragraph , i strongly prefer penny less healthcare rather than paying for ourselves. This way everyone , regardless of their standard of income, can enjoy free healthcare making a prosperous nation because – healthy individuals meaning healthy government
