It is true that many people achieve popularity at an early age through either social media sites or their skills. Gaining a fame is like a double-edged sword. Even though children can get more opportunities and earning, I believe this is a negative trend.
The main reason why I think this is a negative development is that if a child becomes famous at a very young age, they might lose their privacy. We all know that when someone becomes a celebrity, people follow them everywhere. They cannot go to any place without being followed by the media or their fans. Another reason is that they lose their innocence of childhood and are forced to become and act as a mature person. The years when they should enjoy their life like a normal child, they are working and earning money.
Additionally, parents or managers of popular children might unknowingly pressure them to earn or work more. This will not only affect their physical well-being but also their mental health. The constant pressure may affect their education too. Although they get paid in huge sums, that earning costs them the actual knowledge, which is also essential. Apparently, they become the main provider of their family. There are a number of studies that show that the children who become famous at an early age are more prone to feel stressed and anxious all the time.
To sum up, I would like to reiterate that the popularity of a person at a very young age is negative development. This not only makes them lose their innocence but also makes them feel pressured, depressed and anxious.
