In our globalized world, the tug of war between staying at home or heading back to the office for women after postpartum is still being widely discussed around the world. The best choice comes depends on individual family circumstances, financial stability, and other factors; thus ,I partly agree with both statements.
On the one hand, as cultural standards claim, men serve as breadwinners, whereas women’s duty is to take care of the household chores and raise children, it is better to home moms to dedicate more time to their kids to create a strong bond and supervision. According to the research, conducted by a group of bloggers, more children are happier when their mothers stay at home , so they can share more time while having lunch or doing other activities.
On the down side, it is not a modern innovation for some females, like widows, double as the heads of household and bring the home bacon on their own. However, there are some women, who pursue their desired careers, and at the same time, represent role models of independence and ambition for their children. In these circumstances, kids may develop new skills such as socialising, networking, and independence, as they will have to attend daycares or kindergartens.
To sum up, children will be able to have a strong bond with their non-working mothers while spending a quality time together, whereas children whose mothers work, may develop networking skills at an early age.
