Band 6+: Some people believe raising children in the city is better, while others consider the countryside a more suitable choice. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is argued that children growing up in rural areas are more likely to have positive impacts on them, while others trust that children’s development in cites is more beneficial. This essay agrees that growing up in major cities is more helpful for children rather than urban cities.

The main cities can be useful for children’s development through several aspects. First, it has various entertainment and cultural options, and this will maintain the psychological well-being of children. Furthermore, kids living in cities means developing and gaining greater skills such as self-confidence and self-reliance. Moreover, in major cities parents will have quicker access to healthcare facilities to care for their children’s health. Also, kids will have different school options leading to better academic performance. Disney World in Florida is a perfect example for kids’ entertainment which allows them to experience the sense of adventure and give them the opportunity to release their energy.

However, many people believe that childrearing in urban areas is more suitable because these areas usually are pollution-free and have more options of natural food. Although this, all these factors could be available in cities because of the development in food industries and the governments efforts toward minimizing air pollution in major cities. For instance, recently it was noticeable the increasing number of organic food stores inside the main cities, and this offers an excellent food option for children in these areas.

In conclusion, while the benefits of children raising in cities outweigh the benefits of growing in rural areas, still some people believe that rural areas could be safer for their children’s growth. However, since we have alternative options to what rural areas could have, cities will be more beneficial.
