The effect of learning a new language is undeniable. While some believe that children ought to learn a foreign language at secondary school, I agree with those who feel that every single child should learn it immediately when they start school.
On the one hand, it could be argue that learning a foreign language from secondary school has a number of benefits. Supporters of this idea say that the most advantage of doing so is that children could follow their teacher’s lead more seriously. In other words, most of the time they do homeworks and assignements regularly and try to be prepare for the class no matter what their situation is. Moreover, learning a new language at later stage is often said to be better for understanding grammar due to the better congnitive mind of the learners. This is also proven by a new research at the university of Tehran, which found that students who are in the second grade have a better ability to understand the roles behind foreign sentences.
On the other hand, I side with those who suggesting start to learn language at a early satge. In my opinion, I think children could have more accurate pornunciation and accent because they do not fear of making mistakes, and they fearlessly speak until enhancing their language. More importantly, personaly, I hold of the opinion that they could learn faster and easier the language for a number of reasons some of which are having more time, less occupation with other courses, and a better motivation. Take a 8-year student as an example, this child have more free time to practice than a 14 years old student.
In conclusion, although learning a new language at secondary school could be more organize, by learing the language immediately children could master it sooner. Therefore, on balance, I strongly believe that every single child had better learn the new language at its early stage.
