There is a dispute between people who believe that children should spend their time for playing at home in their early stages of life and those who support the importance of going to school for children at an early age. I opine that enrolling in formal education has several advantages which will be elaborated further in this essay.
The primary ground of going to school for young children is training them in discipline and collaboration, despite the fact that the pre-school curriculum is usually packaged in a fun-learning method. In detail, in school, children need to attend the class in specific time and they are not allowed to be late. In terms of collaboration, they will get many opportunities to work together in fun activities, such as assembling puzzles together, and singing a song. This way, hopefully, they will easily develop the ability to be punctual and reliable as well as the ability to work in group as they grow up to adulthood.
Another positive impact of attending school for early age children is imprinting logical and critical thinking more easily in a relatively fresh and ready-to-shape mindset. This can be achieved because these young breeds haven’t been influenced that much by external values. For example, a playgroup in Jakarta, Indonesia, Bellagio Child Care, has been implementing this specific method of learning from Finland that incorporated questions and simple discussions while they play with experiments at school. This method results in an increasing curiosity rate among the children which is indicated by critical and active questions from the students.
In conclusion, despite the dispute of whether children should go to school at a young age or not, there are some considerable benefits as I mentioned above.
