It is a highly debatable issue, whether financial literacy lessons should be added to the school curriculum so children can learn money management at a young age. While this approach has some negatives, those can be ignored because of its potential.
The primary reason behind money management literacy for school agers is that all parents may not expert in money arrangements. This means that schools provide equal knowledge to children about money which may be hard to get from their home because of lack of resources. Thus this approach not only reduces the burden on parents but also makes children more productive on money matters.
Moreover, financial education can make school agers more responsible and wise. As they may spend finance in more effective ways because they know about impacts of debt, benefits, and risks of investment and daily cash flow which may foster a more stable economy.
However, critics may argue that it increases the curriculum burden on children’s shoulders because schools syllabus is already crowded with number of subjects . As a result students may feel difficulties focusing on other subjects such as mathematics, science, computer and others which play a curial role in their career.
in conclusion , although imposing financial literacy in school increases burden on students ,this can be reduced by adding these topics to other particle subjects so, they can learn without extra syllabus .
