People in today’s interconnected world have diverse ideas about presenting gifts to relatives or friends. Some school of thought consider that this way can attribute person’s care to others and strengthen bonds. Others, however, believe that there are other alternative ways of showing attitude towards people around us. In this essay I will delve into both perspectives impartially without favouring one side over the other.
On the one hand, people who thought about expensive gifts as a means of connecting people have valid reasons. To begin with, although majority of people never assess the value of relationships with material items or some costs, it’s true that after receiving things or money from others for free will increase dopamine level in human body which in turn provoking a sense of respect and unity towards others. This means that people can count on each other in any situations or share interests together. For instance, online magazine Life has recently revealed the fact that 77% people’s mood will rise dramatically after receiving things for free.
Conversely, there other ways of tiying bonds with other people. First of all, in this turbulent world landing helping hand to others in case of hard times not only makes others contented but also cultivates a sense of unity. Doing this means that one can earn others respect and honour enough to build better relationship. Moreover, treating people in a better way is also the best way to show your attitude as people are highly likely ready to accept this behaviour at present time.
Overall, even though giving gifts creates friendly atmosphere around people, I believe that well behaving and doing a favour eventually exceed all expectations in a way that strengthening bonds.
