By treating prisoners as individuals who can change, rehabilitation helps reduce criminal behavior. However, criminals don’t choose this way by themselves, different variety of life conditions ought them to do illegal activities. For example, countries like Norway have successfully fully discovered rehabilitation-based prison systems, resulting in some of the lowest recidivism rates in the world.
