Band 6+: Some people believe that governments should have access to people's mobile phone call records and messages for safety reasons. Others believe that this information is private and should not be available without permission.

While it is believed that the intervention of governments in residents’ mobile phone calls and messages is neccessary in order to enhance the social safety, others argue that this action need to be argeed by residents due to the privacy of information. This essay will feature an investigation on both views and present my own perspective.

On the one hand, thanks to this operation, the government can play an essential role in enhancing the social safety and preventing users from certain potential risks. Specifically, recent times have witnessed that a large amount of inappropriate information has been avalaibled largely in social platforms and applications, particularly messages. By receiving and reading these kinds of information, users’ mind can be changed in a negative way, which has not only deteriorated themselves, but it has also devastated the society, especially through revolutions. By controlling users’ phone calls and messages, the government can efficiency protect the users and society from danger impacts. Additionally, there is an appearance of several websites that advertise easy jobs, with a high paid, in order to trick users to enroll in illegal actions. For example, due to ubiquitos illegal advertisments, several innocent residents have been captured and delivered to Campuchia in order to work under crimes’ operations. Thanks to the intervention of governments in phone calls, around 100 victims have been rescued.

On the other hand, this intervention can negatively affect users’ privacy and self-esteem. In the fourth industrial revolution, through messages and phone calls, users can connect with their relatives or friends to tell personal stories. In this case, the government’s intervention is not essential and it is very embarrassed to leak others’ private stories. Besides, it is very dangerous if users’ personal detail, such as identification, is leaked and imparted. Consequently, this can negatively affect users in several aspects, especially their properties.

In conclusion, I agree that the control of government in users’ phone calls or messages is essential in enhancing social experience and safety; however, some adjustments should be implemented in order to proctect the users’ privacy.
