Many individuals believe that governments must have authority over citizen’s mobile phone call records and messaages to ensure safety. Others believe that content of citizen’s mobile phone call records and messages are personal.
In my opinion, i strongly agree that individual’s digital call and message records are privatized and protected by their consent.
Governments must require our privatized content including phone calls and chat history to maintain order. It is by that means governments are able to track and locate potential threats to a society. Limiting their range on using the data available around them would slow their attempt or at worst hinders them at catching malicious intent. It might be that one message as an evident that is essential to save millions or billions of life.
While others agree up to the extent that government require our data to uphold law, they also must obliged to respect our privacy. Individual’s personal record could be life threatening at the hand of the authority and no authority is free with dangerous intention. Governments are able to blackmail their citizens into doing favour based off personal gains. They can be framed innocently without a proper justice and the evident can be forged by a mixture of truths and lies.
In conclusion, it is up to individuals consent to show or not to show private history of them. It could be dangerous if the records are in the hands of someone without a proper permissions. Government must respect our rights on contemplating our daily lives
