With the development of technology, not only Vietnam but also other countries decide to use the Internet at home to get information instead of wasting money to build the libraries. In contrast, many countries believe that the government should spend money to establish more free libraries in every town. From my perspective, both sides have their own benefits but I believe the government should spend money on building free libraries.
On the one hand, the Internet provides the easiest way to find the book that a person wants. Many websites are established for reading purposes, and people can immediately find the list of willing results. For example, Wattpad is a popular website which provides a lot of genres from novel to comic. In addition, reading on the Internet is convenient because people do not need to go out, the distance between a person and object is short so people can save time and energy.
On the other hand, reading books in the library has the own advantages. Reading books supports the authors and producers because of the efforts that they have spent; however, there are some books that were not on the Internet because of copyrights. Additionally, reading books decreases the danger from the screen’s light, especially eye damage. It can lead to blind if people use it for a long time. For example, many proofs prove that eye diseases increase due to using smartphones for a long period of time.
In conclusion, it is suitable for the government to spend money on contributing free libraries because of respecting the efforts of authors and avoiding eye diseases.
