Many countries are struggling with major health issues; however, measures have been taken to deal with well-being problems. It is widely debated whether governments should provide more fundings to tackle mental health concerns among people or they should allocate greater budget for physical health. In this essay, the reasons of both perceptions and my opinion will be discussed.
One of the major reasons why governments should address the mental health and allocate funds for it is that young people are getting affected by mental illness. Youngsters are struggling to get better educations, jobs, and lifestyle these days, as a result they are stressed, dealing with depression and anxiety. These medical sickness will have detrimental outcomes in future, if the authorities do not work to resolve such situation immediately. Major steps can be taken by local hospitals, such as building consulting camps, provide weekly or monthly counselling and different therapies to affected patients.
On the other hands, physical health is also crucial for human and major concern for people. Numerous diseases, cancers, and infections are widespread physical health problems, moreover their recovery treatments, operations and expenditure requires a huge amount of money. NGOs and government hospitals have taken preventive measures already and providing medical care to patients on daily basis efficiently; however, authorities should allocate more fundings in this area to relieve public well-being. Each and every hospitals must have emergency facilities to treat any serious patient on time.
In my opinion, governments should give adequate attention to both areas, rather than allocating funds to one at the expense of the other. Both are considerable public problems, authorities should not prioritise any one, both should be funded equally. Mental and phyical well-being need professionals, facilities and available treatment and these should be allocate both categories of patients.
In conclusion, health is the greatest blessing, however people from many countries are struggling with health issues. I partially believe that governments should prioritise both mental and physical health and facilitate people equally.
