Band 6+: some people believe that individuals over 65 should not be allowed to continue working. others think that people should be allowed to work for as long as they choose. discuss both of these views and give your opinion

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays the standard retirement age in many countries is around 65. Some people argue that, people over 65 should be required to retire, while others believe that people should be allowed to continue working as long as they wish. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own viewpoint.

one major argument for enforcing retirement at the age of 65 is that it can create job opportunities for younger people who are seeking employment in competitive markets. Moreover, after decades of working elderly people deserve a peace and enjoy life for the rest of their life. In addition, older employees are probably struggle with reduced their physical or mental abilities so it can has bad effects on their performance.

Conversely, many believe that individuals should be free to work beyond the age of 65 if they choose to. One key reason is that older workers possess invaluable experience and skills, which can be passed on to younger colleagues and contribute greatly to workplace productivity. Additionally, continuing to work helps elderly individuals stay mentally and physically healthy and may help prevent diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Furthermore, for many seniors, it is necessary to work after their retirement to overcome financial issues, especially in countries facing economic recession.

In my opinion while it is true to say that there are valid reasons for setting a retirement age , allowing people to work as long as they are capable is more sensible. Although retirement can create opportunities for youth unemployment and bring new creative thought, the benefits of utilizing the experience ofolder individuals are more significant. In conclusion, there are valid arguments both for and against retirement age. However, I firmly believe that retirement should not be mandatory but rather a decision based on personal abilities and countries workforce situation
