People have different preferences when it comes to living and working in cities. Some prefer living in vertical city with numerous high-rise buildings, while others choose areas with fewer tall buildings. Both types of urban development have their own advantages. However, I believe that high-rise cities offer greater convenience and more opportunities.
On the one hand, living in high-rise cities provides people with a more convenient lifestyle and better career opportunities. This is because essential facilities, such as supermarkets, pharmacies and cafes, are often located close to residential buildings. As a result, people can save their time and avoid long journeys. For example, someone living in a modern residential complex may have access to shops and pharmacies on the ground floor. If they urgently need groceries or medicine, they can easily get them withing a few minutes. Moreover, large cities usually offer a wider range of employment opportunities, which allows people to develop thier career. On the other hand, some people prefer living in low-rise cities because they offer a quieter and peaceful environment. Such areas are generally less crowded and provide more personal space, as well as oppotunities to enjoy green space. For instance, mu aunt lives in a spacious house with private garden. There are also several parks with playgrounds near her home. This is particularly beneficial for famalies with children, as they can spend more time outdoors in a peaceful environment. In my opinion, although suburban areas offer a more relaxed lifestyle, high-rise cities are a better option because they provide easier access to essential facilities and a wider range of opportunities.
In conclusion, both vertical and horizontal cities have their own benefits. Nevertheless, I believe that living and working in high-rise cities is more advantageous due to their convenience, developed infrastructure and greater employment opportunities.
