While some individuals believe that staying in the same job for a long time offers stability and growth. Whereas, others argue that frequently changing jobs provide more opportunities and different experiences. In my opinion, I strongly agree that changing jobs is better than working in the same job for many years.
On the one hand, supporters of changing jobs frequently believe that it helps them gain more opportunities and have better growth. There are a plethora of reasons due to which people tend towards switching jobs more often. One of the main advantage is that it helps employees earn more money. This is because, when employees change company they can ask for better salary according to the current pay range for the position. Another great benefit is that they get the opportunity to work with different colleagues and this gives them better understanding of work and helps shape their careers and overall growth as an individuals.
On the other hand, employees who work in the same job for the extended period of time do not have the same opportunities as people who switch jobs frequently. This is because when working in the same company does not allow them to have experiences by working with different kinds of people. Additionally, when an employee is promoted the increment that they receive is less as compared to changing the jobs. For instance, my dad have been working for the same company from past 30 years. Although, he has had consistent growth but the increment has been very minimal. Consequently, my brother believes in changing jobs frequently and has seen significant raise in salary over past few years.
In conclusion, I would like to reiterate my stance that I completely agree that changing jobs is better because individuals get to learn new things by working for different companies. There is high possibility for faster growth, better exposure and subsequently earn more money.
