One of the main reasons, teach your children the histoy of your country for the culture knowledge. This is evident by the fact that, everyone should has the knowledge of their culture. Every homeland has their own culture and history. Every person should have the knowledge of their religion. For example, Pakistan is a homeland of muslim country. Students should has knowledge of their relgion and history of their country.
Futhermore, One other key reason of teach your stundents about history, is patrotism. Various studies shown that, a true patrotism have strong knowledge of thier country histoy and literature. For instance, Quaid e azam is the founder of Pakistan. Many people loss their life for the sake of their beloved country. New generation should be know about their sacrifices and then they can become a strong patrotism. Furthermore, students can enjoy and celeberate the festivals of their country with the knowledge of the histoy and literature. In this way, the knowledge of culture values and festivals moves from generation to generation.
