Many people believe that the government should provide free education to students at all levels. I absolutely do not agree with this opinion because not all learners deserve such opportunities, and the government should invest in less risky projects, such as increasing spending on medical facilities or enhancing infrastructure.
First and foremost, it is no secret that some students are not interested in studying at all. Although most students are actively engaged in studying, some learners are prone to being unmotivated and skipping school regardless of the circumstances. For instance, many individuals tend to waste their time on entertainment instead of education, which leads to increased expenses. In addition, when education is offered without any cost, it may reduce learners’ motivation to take it seriously. If training were free, no one would study hard to apply to a university or any other educational institution.
Moreover, government officials should focus on other vital aspects, such as medicine or infrastructure. Many small towns in the countryside often lack proper infrastructure and medical facilities, which is a more detrimental issue. For instance, a lot of rural towns have been in inappropriate conditions for decades. As a result, local companies and residents are planning to move away. Therefore, the government should allocate resources to more fundamental factors and — as a prime solution — offer more incentives to the best students.
In conclusion, I fully disagree with the idea of providing free education to students at all levels, irrespective of potential opportunities. The government must distribute resources to more effective projects for the sake of society.
