Such as, increasing number of population, which could lead to various problems.Big population can cause stress and challenges for both the society and government. For instance; in Mumbai, the number of people are increasing day by day which is causing more poverty and unemployment. Moreover, when the population increase, the number of vehicles on roads also doubled which can eventually cause more air pollution. This is also one of the great demerit of life in big towns. As it can contribute to harmful effects on human health. As an example; people in Lahore suffers from various health condition due to poor air quality and smog.
Despite the drawbacks, there are many advantages too. The one is that big Towns offer more facilities and convenience to people who live in. For example; many people from around the small cities come to Lahore for their higher education as there are many educational institutes which provides more facilities and secure future. Besides that, Urban Areas also give more job opportunities because they offer various fields from which people can choose according to their interest and skills. To add on, Big cities makes people more confident and independent. Because it gives them more challenges and as a consequence people learn to tackle with as many hurdles as they face.
