There is a debate about whether old people should either engage in sports to maintain a healthy lifestyle or if there are better ways to improve their health. This essay will discuss both views and present my own opinion on the best way to keep old people healthy.
As people grow older, they are more likely to suffer from various illnesses; for instance, diabetes and high blood pressure are common among older individuals. To prevent old people from such diseases, some suggest that they should actively participate in various sports, such as walking or practising yoga. Supporters of this view believe that sports help people stay in good shape and prevent obesity, which is detrimental to the overall health of old people. Furthermore, sports promote active circulation of blood through the veins, which, in turn, helps to improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure and sugar levels.
However, sports are not the only way to maintain people’s health. Many, including myself, believe that other methods, such as regular doctor appointments and paying attention to dietary ratios, can help keep people healthy in their later years. Maintaining an active lifestyle, like engaging in sports activities, may be challenging for old people. However, regular doctor visits can be very beneficial. During these appointments, doctors can provide prescriptions and guidance on how to stay healthy. Additionally, being mindful of the nutritional balance in the food consumed by old people is crucial, as they should intake more vitamins and carbohydrates to boost their immune system. With an improved immune system, the likelihood of suffering from common illnesses decreases.
In conclusion, old people can maintain a healthy lifestyle by actively participating in various sports, which can enhance their physical condition and overall well-being. However, I believe that regular doctor appointments and maintaining a balanced diet are essential for them to live longer.
