Some individuals claim that school pupils should be required to do some unpaid social services. I am partially support this viewpoint for and my arguments will be elaborated in following paragraphs.
On the one hand, I accept that doing social chores with schoolmates can provide valuable experiences such as problem solving, taking responsibilities and critical thinking. These skills are plays vital role not only in terms of shaping their future career but also in their education achievements as well. Moreover, working with peers can improve the sense of community abilities. This soft skill is highly essential in today’s job marketing, thus learning it from early stages of life can be an advantageous for a person in order to get a desirable career.
On the other hand, I also believe that making community chores mandatory is an exploitation of labour. Every student should be able to decide whether they want to pursue the unpaid service or not or at least they should get paid for their service. In fact, a few schoolchildren do not want to contribute the social tasks, because they think that, it does not align with their future dream job. Another point worth mentioning is that balancing work with academics will be challenging. After school having limited time for assignments can be overwhelmed and a extraordinary intelligence schoolchild can be fall behind from their lessons.
In conclusion, while I agree that learning new skills while working for society might be necessary for pupils development, I also hold a view that creating balance between academic subjects and extra work with no payment is extremely difficult.
