We live in a very competitive world where academic skills are crucial to get a job as well as practical skills. Some advocate the state that schools should be attentive on developing practical skills among students whereas, others argue schools should be strict to their academics. I firmly believe, Educational institutions should focus on both perspectives as needed.
On the one hand, Students have to be qualified also skilled to get a job. There are a growing number of companies which are seeking off practical skills rather than only theoretical knowledge in order to get sufficient productivity from their employees. An employee’s academic knowledge is mandatory but other skills like communicating ability and technology knowledge are also important. In addition, some people are dream off some unique professions where particular skill is very important. So if schools teach some skills which students prefer for themselves could be beneficial for their future job.
On the other hand, academic education is like a radar of a boat. Skilled people cannot achieve their total ability without traditional knowledge of books. Even someone practically learns any skill, in some point, he could get stucked because of lack of traditional knowledge. Moreover, an employee cannot ignore other peoples like their customers and colleagues. In order to communicate and be in the vogue of the technological world, an employee has to be well educated or at least some basic knowledge about their work.
Considering both views, I am restating that, schools should be followed by the individual’s needs, so that, it can provide either practical or academic knowledge to the students.
