As educational priorities continue to evolve, there is a growing debate over whether schools should focus more heavily on practical skills rather than customized academic knowledge. From this perspective, i completely agree with this notion that academic institutions should focus on practical skills along with teaching the traditional curriculum, not only because of teaching about real-world skills, but also because of financial stability. This essay will explore how practical knowledge, in addition with general academic knowledge, is helpful for adults.

To commence with, hard skills prepare students to face the real-life challenges. To elaborate, students gain practical about theory that is learnt by them in books only, so they can cope with the gap between practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge. Moreover, they come to know about the industrial barriers that they will face in their career. For instance, in Australia, the government enforces schools to provide much deeper view of theory to students, so as to get hand-on experience throughout their academic career. Consequently, students become aware of the things that might be happened to them in the future during their workplace.

Shifting towards the second most significant learning aspect of acquiring real-life skills, it provides an opportunity to students to become financially stable at the end of their schooling. To clarify, it enables adults to manage their fee expenses by doing a job in industrial sector according to their related fields. Furthermore, life skills assist pupils to brush up and strengthen their personal abilities. To exemplify, one of my friends arranges the tuition fees of his university by doing a project work, and he also pays his hostel dues by his own. Therefore, life skills are necessary to make students the responsible citizens who can prove themselves by contributing in the progress of their nation.
