Some believe that digital platforms have a beneficial impact on people due to the connections between individuals and the pleasant conversations, while others have opposing views related to the social media which depict that people may suffer from a falsehood and a negative attitude of society. In my opinion, at the present, people have more unpleasant experience from the digital platforms rather than the good ones because of a violence of criminals in the social media and a tactlessness of some individuals there.
On the one hand, the people in the internet tend to share their life and their the emotions in it. Social media present a lot of opportunities for such individuals. There are significant number of people who support and inspire each other by sharing posts or videos. Moreover, they have a free right to choose the format of the video. As a result, users of social media can also lead conversations about their physical or mental issues and may find an assistance from other people with similar experience. For example, the famous blogger in the YouTube whose name is Anastasia experienced difficult breaking up with her boyfriend. However, her audience expressed a big support and assist to get over throughout this period of her life.
On the other hand, it is important to consider noticeable amount of the misinformation and a fraud in the internet. People tend to believe everything they heard in social media due to the compelling facts created by scammers or haters. Some people who distribute falsehood and gossips related to the person or the blogger, may have negative perceptions towards this individual because of several reasons. Consequently, the victim will feel isolation and fear from society with lead to phycological problems. For example, the significant amounts of individuals in social media are subjected to violence on daily basis. Unfortunately, there also cases when people made decision to commit suicide due to the bulling. These evidences prove that in our society the negative influence of the social media might lead to terrible consequences.
In conclusion, there are a lot of benefits of social media when people can communicate politely and kindly in the internet. However, in the harsh world full of hatred within society, discrimination and bulling take noticeable place and harm people.
