In contemporary society, laws are made for preventing offense rates and punishing lawbreakers over them. People are believe that stricter punishment shall be the best option to minimize crime estimate. From my perspective, I extremely disagree with this, harsh penalty does not mean that it will decrease transgression rates.
Primarily, cold-hearted perpetrators will not afraid the corporal punishment either the capital punishment. For example, in United States America when the offender got commited their guilty of done the worst action on citizens, cold-blooded perpetrators will smile normally like nothing happened to them, not only smile but also willing to do pure evil things to their victims. In addition, make the punishments stricter just make the violations even increase crazily due to the harsh penalty been sentenced to the offender gangs’s leader.
Furthermore, harsh retribution did not help at all since the punishment level will be applied by laws as does it dangerous, regular, neutral and categorized crime level. For instance, some lawbreakers’s lawyer can not defend them anymore, they will earn the right sentence as the jury choose on how the offender will serve their charge. Paradoxically, someone of the perpetrator victim did not sastified at the way the criminal got punishment, eventhough is it such a strict punishment for the offender, the victim will choose torture the crimes for the entire life, as that will increase offense charges
In Summary, the offense rates increase or decrease will depend on each individuals awareness to negative moment, not only negative effects but also their greed will urge them to theft money, jewelry and even worse. Harsh penalizing will just make sense to the cold-blooded perpetrators and willing to increase crime rates.
