It is often argued that schools should spend more time on educating students about practical life skills rather than usual academics subjects. I strongly agree as it may help students prepare for their future lives and improve social and communication skills.
Firstly, one of the main reasons is that practical skills tend to prepare students for their future lives. Teachers will educate students on how to properly manage problems related to business which will definitely be useful in the future. By knowing most of the information students’ knowledge will be applied to different situations related to business. As a result an increased amount of people will be able to adapt in the future life and be familiar with saving money for example.
Furthermore, another crucial reason is that it may improve students’ social and communication skills. In some schools they have already applied this form of education by creating student council where students are grouped together to make interesting events, raise money and communicate with each other to solve many different kinds of problems. Moreover This will be extremely beneficial as in the future people need social skills to have multiple connections throughout their lives. For example, students who are introverted will be able to express themselves easier from a young age in schools, they will be able to adapt quicker in upcoming events requiring lots of communication.
In conclusion, I firmly agree that schools should commence teaching life skills as it can be really beneficial for students at a young age. Students will be able to communicate make new connections and prepare for their future life.
