Certain individuals believe that schools ought to educate students in practical skills, such as cooking, managing money, and basic household tasks. Others believe that schools should focus mainly on academic subjects. This essay will discuss both views. In my opinion, schools should educate students in practical skills, but also focus on academic subjects
On the one hand, being taught practical skills at school makes you ready for a real life. For example, if students from an early age know how to manage money, this can prevent some financial issues in the future. They may also be ready for real adult life. In some cases, these abilities can make them more independent
On the other hand, focusing only on academic subjects can be effective. Nowadays, to gain admission to a university, you need to have good grades, and show your academic results. During university admissions, admissions officers draw on students’ academic achievements.Students can focus on their studies at school, while practical skills can be learned over time through personal experience.
In my opinion, students should focus on their education, both at the same time can teach practical skills, such as managing money or basic household tasks at school might be beneficial. I suppose that, having a balance between these two skills will make students more mature, and be practical for real life.
In conclusion, focusing on both of these skills can yield positive results. School should not only give students academic knowledge, but also ought to prepare students for real life. That’s why, in the future practical skills might be a more valuable part of education
