Nowadays, technology is strong enough to let people communicate without facing each other. This leads some people to think technology has made their relationship better while some people think that they are getting more lonely. Although technology is undeniable that it has made our life more convenient, I believe that it gives rise to people’s relationship becoming worse.
On the one hand, technology has successfully solved the problem of communicating face to face. In such a busy world, people normally don’t have much time to sit down at a café talking to their friends. However, since the first social media was released, they can now talk to each other and their relationship gets closer because they can talk a lot on social media. The time of chatting has significantly increased. From my point of view, this is how technology has made our life easier.
On the other hand, technology has also given bullies a lot of chance to bully others. Through the widespread of the internet, bullies can easily bully people by spreading fake news on social media. According to the report by Doctor Jane Wong, the number of people being bullied has dramatically risen, and most of them are having less friends, becoming more and more alone. In my perspective, this problem won’t be solved but only get worse.
In conclusion, it is undoubtable that technology has let people chat without being restricted by the time and location; people should also pay more attention to cyberbullying.
