It is quite a common belief that raising teachers’ salaries is the ultimate way to make education better, although some would state that other, more efficacious methods are available. In this essay, I will discuss both views before giving a reasonable conclusion.
Payment is one way to keep educators inspired to do their job. A sharp raise in wages would somewhat encourage teachers, making them more dedicated to their work. It would also help a minority of teachers who are facing financial difficulties, which is common in developing countries.
Having said that, increasing income is not the only way to improve schooling. Changes to schools’ facilities would make classes more enjoyable, professional, and improve the overall quality of life. Another way is to bring more technology into teaching; this means combining traditional educational methods, such as chalkboards and audio players, with modern ones like mobile phones, smart TVs, computers, and so on. Not only will this make teaching more interesting and intriguing, it will also make lectures easier to carry out for teachers with the help of technological devices. In addition, revolutionary modifications to already existing books are also a great idea. As time passes, it is necessary to alter the old system of books with newer ones that are more appealing, efficient, and accurate. This would introduce a whole new source of knowledge, which is more reliable and fascinating for later generations.
All in all, while giving a raise in salary to teachers is one way to make education better, other methods seem to outweigh this idea. Therefore, from my point of view, it is superior to conduct the latter option with an aim to enhance education.
