Some government officials around the world believe that in order to reduce taffic problems in cities, people had to endore public transport, as well as, the adminstrators had to encourage people to use it, rather than private vehicle; however, others agrue that the effective resolution is to build more roads. In this essay, both the advantages of using public transport and the necessity of roads will be discussed.
To begin with, deforestation is a catastropic problem in the modern era because people are facing a lots of environmental isssues. In addition, in order to construct roads, massive cutting down of trees are required and this will increase gobal warming, ecosystem disorder and so on. So, instead of this, the solution for the traffic problems in the cities is to increase the usage of public transport systems among people. Additionally, government should provide affordable prices for tickets so that people will prefer to travel in the public commute systems. For example, Singapore authorities has given their people, good public infra structures and cheap tickets more to that, they imposed laws aganist buying private vehicles due to that the usage of public transport has rose drastically.
To continue, constructing road are vital in order to connect people between cities and villages. To explain, the availabilty of public transport is few in countryside, that become an issue with the people who live in the villlage and has jobs in the cities. Furthermore, the only way for these people to travel is through roads for them constructing new roads are important. For instance, in India, only in major cities has good and regular public transport systems; however people in villages are purely depending on private cars to travel to their offices.
To sum up, both roads and public transports are important to reduce the traffic problems in the cities. People in the village need their own vehicles, to travel to their jobs; but, the people in the city can use public transport so that the government can decrease the massive deforesation and climate change issues people are facing.
