Some people hold the opinion that only academic subjects should taught by educators, while others believe that teachers should teach manners and etiquettes along with other subjects. This essay intends to analyze both viewpoints. In my opinion, as teaching is a prime duty for every teacher so. they should be concern enough to give moral lessons to students.
On the one hand, there are many reasons why some people consider that teachers should focus on teaching moral values to their students. The first reason is that parents are busy with their hectic jobs and do not get enough time to teach them such lessons. As a consequence, teachers are left with the responsibility of the children. Secondly, teachers are considered as a respective person so that students always try to imitate their actions and follow their instructions more effectively. This is because teachers should assists students to develop characteristics like honesty, kindness, responsibility etecra. For instance, teachers can give them a lesson of puntuality by always being on time and completing their tasks before deadline. Lastly, teachers do not need to spend extra time or effort to impart them moral educations by just being good role model.
On the other hand,the main reason given by those who think that educator ought not to teach out of syllabus is that there is already a lot of pressures of academic subjects like maths, science, literature and lab works on teachers. Teachers not only helps them on subjective knowledge but also assist them to get a good result in competitive exams. As a result, it will be a burden for them to impart students moral lessons. Apart from this, as teachers are not getting enough salary from the government, so teaching these lessons which are not included in syllabus is not beneficial for them. Also, children should learn these morality by their parents on their early age. For instance, childrens learn a lot of manners before joining to school in many countries.
I believe that, teachers plays a crucial role in our society by building up their students an ideal person. As a teacher has a quite strong bond with his or her students so they can guide them effectionally. Because after parents children spend a lot of time with their teachers.
Summing up, though teachers are required to do a lot of tasks, they should do the novel work of teach moral leasson.
