The debate whether good leaders are born, or people can obtain leadership qualities during their lifetime has always been a hot topic, with both parties making valid points. However, I am of the opnion that a person can obtain leadership qualities during his life but there may be some exceptions, given the circumstances.
I strongly beleive that nobody is born special and that each and every one of us is shaped by how life treats us and our experiences. For example, a person who may go through a lot of grief will eventually learn how to face it, but someone who experiences it less will have a difficult time with it. Similarly, a leader isn’t born but is developed. His experiences and circumstances teach him leadership qualities that he learns to use when he eventually does become a leader. Example being Imran Khan. Imran Khan, the ex-prime minster of Pakistan, learnt his leadership qualities through his various endeavors such as being the captain of the Pakistani cricket team.
On the other hand, some people born in influential families may be raised to be leaders.Given the envoirment around them, they may have no choice but to be a leader and carry on their families’ legacies. Example being the current Punjab minister of Pakistan, Mariyam Nawaz, who was born as the daughter of the future prime minster of Pakistan.
Conclusively, it is fair to say that leaders are made from the leadership qualities they gain throughout their lives, rather than being born with them. However, there may be a few exceptions, such as the example mentioned above.
