It is arguable between those two opinion. In my point of view, I do not choose any one of them which one is more correct than the other. I have another preference on this topic. First, we have to know exactly the urgency of the problem. What problem that need to be solved first is based on the urgency.
Some people believe that goverment should invest more to solve transportation system to reduce traffic congestion and pollution. It is really will work? Is everyone will directly move to public transportation? I think we need to provide clear plans in the future after investing in this innovation. How do we attract people to use public tranportation so our goals in the first is acieved.
Other said that improvement in road infrastructure should be prioritized. I think this is another problem as well. As a citizen, it is really understandable if we complain related with road infrastructure since we also pay tax to the goverment. Of course, we want comfort while commuting on the road.
From both opinion, I think that the goverment need to evaluate first which one is more urgent to solve. Then, they have to start budgeting the project for both issues. I believe that we can solved those two problems. If we can solved them all, why do we need to choose one of them? In my side, we need to improve the road infrastructure first. Then, continue with the transportation issue. To advance the solution, we had to also develop some plans to attract public to use public transportation. So, I think this is a continuous journey. We can achieve those goals when we do it parallelly not independently.
