There is an ongoing debate about whether the internet has made communication easier and more effective, while others argue that it has made people less social. Both perspectives offer valid points and this essay will examine both views.
In today’s world, the internet plays a crucial role in communication. However, the internet has dramatically changed the way people communicate completely. The internet has a huge impact on society because it has made communication more efficient and accessible for people. For instance, with a few clicks, people can connect with others across the globe. This means that the internet can break down geographical barriers and allow for instant communication. In addition the internet is also beneficial for personal and professional life. As an example to that, nowadays, many interviews happen through the internet instead of in person communicaton.
On the other hand, while the internet has made communication easier and more efficient, it plays a significant role in a decline in face to face interactions. People used to meet each other in cafés, restaurants or on the streets instead of social media. However, people prefer texting and calling each other rather than meeting in real life. In my opinion people had stronger relationships and social bonds in the past in comparison to today’s society.
In conclusion while the internet has many advantages it cannot replace face to face interactions entirely.
