There has been a growing concern in major cities. Some argue that the authority should introduce a policy to reduce the number of traffic jams, like free public transport operating twenty-four hours a day. I maintain that introducing such a policy can help to tackle the issue to some extent.
Firstly, if public transport is free, it would encourage more people to use it rather than drive a car. These days, many people prefer to drive own cars and private vehicles mainly because of convenience, despite the high cost. If buses, minibuses, or trains are free, a great number of people are highly likely to use these vehicles for traveling and daily necessities.
Secondly, if 24/7 services are offered freely for a person, it could alleviate the problem, because it offers flexibility and accessibility for everyone. In other words, It would align with their schedule. As a result, many people opt for these services instead of using their own transport.
In conclusion, applying such a policy would be a great implement to reduce traffic congestion in numbers because it can play a crucial role for people to offer convenience.
