The remote work is more widespread since the coronavirus outbreak in 2019. In my opinion, I prefer working in the office because it is more effective and provides a good balance between work and life.
Although working from home is more flexible and avoids traffic time, these saved times are not useful for working. Because the telecommuting environment is more comfortable, it is difficult to concentrate on work. If you do not have a lot of self-discipline, you find the projects are not finished on time. On the other hand, communication becomes lacking, which not only reduces interaction with others but also results in just a few voices sharing their ideas.
Another reason is that there is not clear separation between work and home when you telecommute because your workplace is also the living district, which should be a relaxing and comfortable place. When you go to sleep, you realize the assignments are not complete, and that leads to staying in a stressful environment.
In conclusion, although remote work provides convenience, the lack of social interaction and the difficulty in separating work from home make it less ideal. I believe that working in an office is the best way to ensure both professional efficiency and personal living.
