Some argue that films should be used to entertain audiences, whereas others state that they have to teach audiences and serve a moral function. This essay will discuss both points of view and my personal opinion.
On the one hand, some people usually decide to watch a movie while they have free time to unwind from their daily life. For example, the comedy genre helps individuals to make them feel happier and improve their mood. Additionally, for some people watching films is a good way to escape from stress and hard work which leads to improving their mental health and emotional state. However, watching films without any educational purpose comes with a cost. For instance, some audiences can become more introverted and less sociable with their family and friends which can negatively affect their relationships.
On the other hand, others believe that movies should give viewers insights, ideas, new knowledge which will enrich them rather than serve solely an entertaining purpose. There are huge amount of benefits of watching these kinds of movies. As an example the real life story films, or historical genre can be also very interesting for wide audience. That is means that people can combine two actions: learning something new and take a rest into one. Also, with a big amount of the screen time in social media nowadays, people should not waste time and absorb more information.
In my opinion, it is not very complicated of multitasking. Individuals should try to understand that it will be useful to relax and, in addition, to get more information about the world. by films.
İn conclusion, I would say that this is a people’s choice of what they will watch, but I think the consequences of their actions now will affect on their future.
