People have argued that not enough of the waste from people’s home is recycled, and that the only way to increase recycling is for the government to make it a legal requirement. While I do agree with the statement, I believe that only having government laws is inadequate to solving to problem, and we need to get to the root of the problem in order to increase the amount of trash being recycled.
If the concerned authorities decide to introduce laws for the proper recycling of waste, this practice will become more prevalent, leading to more recycling and in turn a better environment. These new laws introduced by the government will lead to more awareness among the populace. These new laws can start with teaching people about what the concept of recycling is and how it can have a positive effect on the environment. Then it can be implemented by putting a fine for not meeting a monthly or weekly recycling quota made for the person.
But the government laws can often fall short of their expected target. The root of the problem is that these adults are not aware of ideas, hence kids and students of all ages should also be taught about what recycling is and how it can help us improve the environment. Doing so will ensure that the new generation of citizens come to inhabit this
In the end, only using Mandated laws for increasing recycling will fall short. If kids and students are introduced to the concept of recycling, the recycling laws will come to fruition
