It is sometimes believed that the most vital aspect involved in the consideration of purchasing a product or service is the cost of it. In my opinion, while the expenditure required to purchase something can help individuals make a deterministic choice, it is often much better to consider the quality of the product when the purchase is meant to ensure ones survival and health.
Most individuals plan out a specific budget attributed to the purchase of various daily-use items, usually on a monthly basis, and in such instances, the price is vastly more important than the quality as it allows them to effectively control their finances without compromising too much on their standard of living. For an example, locally sourced fruits and vegetables are usually less expensive as compared to exotic or imported ones even though they both contain the same nutritional components. In this situation, the smarter financial decision would be to buy the product that costs lesser as it makes practically no difference to the health or well-being of the individual.
On the other hand, quality becomes a priority when seeking out products or services that are vital for survival and enriching lives. An example of this would be the higher priority assigned to finding a skilled doctor rather than one who charges lesser in times of medical emergencies as the preference would always be given to a medical professional that can provide an accurate diagnosis even if the cost for their services is greater.
In conclusion, the cost of purchase is the most important aspect when it regards daily-use items. In contrast, the quality of the goods or services takes higher prescedence when the purchase is related to human survival and a better quality of life.
