Whether teacher guidance or students’ willingness is more important in educational progress has become a subject of debate among some people. This essay will discuss both arguments in support of the latter.
Some individuals believe that with proper guidance from teachers, students can achieve greater success in their educational lives. Having sufficient experience, good teachers can provide effective strategies and practical techniques to help students understand different topics more deeply. Since teachers are already aware of the key points of certain topics that some students may find quite challenging, they can prevent learners from becoming frustrated due to a lack of understanding. For example, chemistry is one of the most challenging subjects, because many students struggle to understand formulas and the definitions of minerals; however, with proper guidance from teachers, students can cover the main concepts and become more successful in understanding different theories.
On the other hand, it is argued that students’ willingness plays a crucial role in academic achievement, and I also support this perspective. If students are reluctant towards their subjects, educators may struggle to increase their motivation and interest in the topics. To be more precise, even the most experienced teachers cannot guarantee success if learners themselves have lack curiosity in the learning process. For instance, a highly motivated student may review mathematic lessons independentl, complete additional exercises, and search for online resources to strengthen their understanding, this leads to increase their chances of academic success. As a result, such students are more likely to observe clear progress in areas where they work hard.
In conclusion, while teacher guidance undoubtedly contributes to students’s academic development, I firmly believe that personal willingness and commitment are key drivers of long-term educational success.
