Opinions tend to vary regarding whether video games have detrimental effects. Others, however, beg to differ. While I acknowledge they can nurture gamers’ language skills and reality, I believe its negative effects to health can outweigh the benefits.
On the one hand, players who know a certain language not fully can boost their skills through playing video games, just changing the settings on the phone. For instance, “eFootball” offers a fluent commentary during the online match, the only work users should do is to choose and load the language only. Furthermore, gamers are also able to learn real skills like driving and shooting. Simply playing such types of games in real-life, hundreds of people play “Asphalt” to learn driving, and some of them can do that.
Even soldiers suggest children to play “SFG”, if they want to join an army.
On the other hand, they are more likely to have a harmful impact. Firstly, if users continue playing in order to improve their level, they will not give up the game in the future. As a result, those who constantly play online games may be nervous. Secondly, they cause inadequate rest and some educational problems. Consequently, this type of sedentary lifestyle may contribute to disability to see, weaken the ability to memorize things and obesity.
In conclusion, although video games benefit to learn important skills, I think it is outweighed by more important drawbacks not only for health-related issues but for its addictive feature.
